Hany Ashamalla, MD

Dr Hany Ashamalla is a Medical Doctor and double Board Certified Diplomate in Psychiatry, Neurology and Brain injury medicine. He graduated from Psychiatry Residency program at University Of Southern California and completed his training in one of the largest residency programs at LAC+USC Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA. He has been in practice for over 18 years both in United States and abroad. He obtained two masters’ degrees in Neuroscience and Psychopharmacology from Neuroscience Education Institute, San Diego, CA. 

Dr. Ashamalla's long expertise in the art of Psychopharmacology and managing different psychiatric disorders in adolescents, adults and geriatric population has helped thousands of patients throughout the years in battling mental illness, to lead a very productive careers and prosperous life. 

Dr Ashamalla is certified as well in providing maintenance and Post-Detox treatment for Alcohol abuse, as well as Opiates/Heroin abuse patients using Subtext, Suboxone and others.

Irina V. Ashamalla MSN, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC

Irina is a double Board Certified Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice and Mental Health. 

Irina has graduated with a Master’s Degree in Nursing with an emphasis in Outpatient Care, Public Health and Healthcare Administration from Western University of Health Sciences in 2012, Arizona State University - Family Practice in 2015 and Maryville University of St Louis - Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. Irina has practiced in various inpatient and outpatient care settings such as acute care hospital - Level 2 trauma center, family practice and walk-in clinics, however started working in mental health field since 2015.

Irina finds herself enjoying brief psychotherapy consultation sessions combining psychopharmacologic treatment approach with life skills and integrated health counseling helping people in need who struggle from most common mental health psychological conditions such as:

Depressive and Mood Dysregulation Disorders;

Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders;

Post Traumatic experiences and Stress related disorders,

Bipolar and related disorders;


Sleep related disorders;

Neurocognitive conditions;

Personality disorders;

Disruptive, Impulse-Control, Conduct and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

- providing psychiatric evaluations, consultations, disease management and treatment for patients 13 years of age and up.

Lilian - Certified MA
Lilian joined our team in April 2017. She has proven to be a very reliable and organized member of our team.  She has excellent customer service skills working currently as a front desk medical assistant position full time. She gladly addresses all patient concerns in a professional manner. Prior to working with Notre Dame Behavioral Health Lilian was working as a medical assistant for private practice GI specialty clinic in Los Angeles, California.
