Telemedicine Policy
At this time, all appointments default to telemedicine. You can request an in-person appointment with office staff.
Many insurance companies waived copays for telemedicine visits at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of this, we will not collect a copay for telemedicine visits unless otherwise stated by your insurance company. If insurance companies require a copay for telemedicine visits, billing will update clinic staff. This may result in a balance of uncollected copays, which will be collected at your next visit or a payment plan can be worked out. This is usually addressed by your second or third visit. You may also be responsible for a deductible or coinsurance for your visit. If you wish to know whether or not you have a copay for telemedicine visits, you can contact your insurance to receive your EOB or contact our billing department at 623-974-6611. If you do have a copay, our office staff will call in the morning to collect your copay and any other balance on your account. If we cannot reach you, we will leave a voicemail and call back later. If we are unable to obtain your copay, deductible, and/or balance before your scheduled appointment time, you will be marked as a no-show and expected to pay a no-show fee.
At the time of your telemedicine appointment, you will receive a text message with the link to the website. As soon as you receive that link, click on it and it will open the page for the virtual face-to-face appointment. The link expires after 10 minutes so please click it right away. Follow the instructions the website provides, and the provider will start the video call with you. If you didn't receive a link, our provider will try to reach you using different software, or call you. If they are unable to reach you by the end of your scheduled time, you will be marked as a no-show.
